Difference is, we’re not using our tongues to pry rotten food stuffs from each other’s gums.
You can’t just… replace your baby, man!
😂 Then you definitely don’t need to know where the cameras are. You are a very bad driver if you are going TWENTY km/h (or more?!) over the limit getting “distracted”, and it happens so often you need to constantly need to know where the cameras are. What country is this?! Do you even need to take a test to get your license in this country?
I’m sorry to sound rude but +20 km/h and you still need help. 😆 Nah…

And the old games run like butter. 🤩 Especially the Zelda upgrades. Holy. Great stuff.

We who? And how did you know?
get distracted and exceed the speed limit by 1-2 km
Your cameras give you a fine if you exceed by even 1 km/h? That’s insane. In my country it’s about 6 km/h or so above the limit where you get a fine. Every car is different so the speedometer might not show the exact speed right on the needle, and they know that speeds can vary slightly. You could also be right in the middle of slowing down, which won’t be noticeable in the instant of the measurement, so they add this margin of error of about 6 km/h.
I guess it’s harder too if you don’t have automatic speed control on the car. 🤷♂️ If the cameras and fines are this sensitive and you only have manual speed control (gas and break), and new cameras keep popping up all the time, I can definitely understand that you would want alerts of when there are speed cameras.
My car alerts me automatically so that’s also am advantage I guess.
Maybe it’s not a party of just one.
Holds a gallon of horse cum, and one in the chamber.
I think either would suit you. Keep or don’t, do what feels best for you. 🙂

Fair point, I suppose. Though the original commenter said that “apps” [in general] are unnecessary. That’s how I interpreted it. And that they are so due to the grid system where they live. I call BS. I bet it helps, but not for someone who isn’t used to it either. It wouldn’t help me, as a European, because I have no experience with it.
You probably live in a deep village
A “deep” village? What does that mean?
There are over 130,000 people in my city, growing by about 1,000 every year. So not a huge city but not a village. 😄 Takes probably 30 minutes to drive across town with negligible traffic? Anyway…
maps show where the speed limit cameras are, where the police are now
cameras (their number grows like mushrooms after rain)Now you can’t go anywhere without navigation.
Why do you need to know where speed limit cameras and police are at all times? Sounds to me like you prrrooobably shouldn’t have a driver’s license to begin with? Or you live in a place where police are a danger to society rather than protection. I’m willing to guess which side of the Atlantic but I’ll refrain.
I can definitely travel without navigation lol. Even when visiting a bigger city with maybe half a million people. As long as I know where I’m going, it’s fine. 👍
I live in a city that resembles nothing like a grid, but I still don’t need navigation because it’s my home town. Of course you don’t need navigation if you know the way to where you’re going.
Having a grid system makes no difference anyway if you don’t know the address. “Let’s meet up at Starbucks!” “Oh… kay. Where’s that?”

Victor@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Have any of you ever actually done the cost comparison calculations for cooking vs buying pre-made, including cost of energy?1·19 days agoLook. What I’m saying is that ultra processed foods, or even processed foods, are not good for your body. If the food item is premade but not super processed, then take your chances I guess?
Kind of like monkeys picking things out of the fur of each other. Only facing one another.
