It’s the correct flavour. Change my mind…
No, I won’t, it demonstrably is.
Good. That’s that settled then.
Also known as toothpaste and chocolate.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way :)
Me either!
I am terribly sorry to be the bearer of bad news, sir, but you are clearly wrong.
Vanilla is obviously the correct flavour.
If we have to pick just one, you’re clearly correct. But I do love a good mint choc chip too, so I must disagree with the entire premise of choosing!
Vanilla is the finest of the flavours. There’s even a song about it.
I’ve never got the mint chocolate combination. I’m sorry.
But, but, what individually wrapped chocolate do you eat shortly after 7:59 at a dinner party?
Mint chocolate, I agree.
But mint chocolate chip ice cream stands alone.
The 2 flavours are distinct without blending, but do complement (so, I can understand the mint chocolate even if I don’t appreciate it). And the chocolate chips add texture.
Rum and raisin is clearly better.
If it was, then there wouldn’t be raisins in it.
Touché!
You need to calm down sir.
It’s a correct flavour, but I wouldn’t go as far as to use the definite article.
If I can’t get the honey lavender flavor from my favorite joint in Seattle, then it’s got to be mint chip.
You can post that one on usacasual!
I would agree with you, but a few years ago I discovered peppermint ice cream.
It has the nice mint, none of the chocolate garbage, and no texture contamination (peppermint is entirely smooth, no chocolate chunks mucking up the enjoy-mint)
It is therefore superior.
My ex used to work an ice cream factory (Walls I think but not completely sure I remember right). She said she wouldn’t touch mint with a barge pole. Apparently, any wastage from other flavours was chucked in the mint one because mint is such a strong flavour it masks the other flavours.
On a brighter note, in between flavour changes on the equipment, they would spend a whole shift cleaning. For flavours marketed as allergy friendly, they would spend two shifts cleaning, so didn’t need to put “may contain traces of…”
Does that change your mind at all?
Afraid not!
Just nope.
Raspberry ripple.
As an American, I concur with your sentiment OP.
