Rich people have special access to the legislative machinery that you and I don’t. Through bribes “contributions” they can craft laws that let them avoid paying their fair share of the tax burden. There’s definitely a YouTube algorithm thing going on, too. I’ve had a lot of these right-wing dipsh*t maga channels pop up on my YouTube home screen, recently. As in, more of them showing up in the last 6-8 months than I’ve seen in years.

If it weren’t for fireworks, we wouldn’t have funny stories about dumb people shoving them in their ass cracks, setting them on fire and cauterizing their buttocks.

If you have a job providing transportation, then you are on-call, whether you’re transporting customers or not. And you should be paid for BEING on-call. This is a standard practice in several industries.

The end of true representative democracy in this country began the moment the courts accepted the “corporations are people / money is speech” arguments. When that happened, governments stopped representing the needs of ordinary people and only listened the needs of billionaires and their lobbyists.
