It could be worse. You could be trapped in a room with people vigorously debating how many eyelets should be visible on a bloused boot and then asked to pick a side.

The most fun was getting laughed at by the special forces for having to wear a uniform at all. Those mfers would go to chow wearing the tiniest PT shorts they could squeeze into, and then literally hit the “randomize outfit” button after they selected the shorts.

Sf guy #1: booty shorts, One black boot, one tan boot, no shirt, vest, boonie cap.

SF guy #2: booty shorts, PT shoes, knee pads, ACU top, beret

SF guy #3: booty shorts, tan boots, elbow and knee pads, under armour shirt, full kevlar w/ nvgs

SF guy #4: booty shorts w/ visible whale tail, mechanix gloves, neon green mesh top, aviator sunglasses, Santa hat.

Not even kidding on that last one. It was the only one memorable enough to recall exactly the uniform.

My argument was observed while everyone in the room was wearing sneakers/low cut boots and half of them were wearing non spec pants. Literally nobody involved could actually blouse boots to regulation. It was one of those arguments borne entirely out of somebody wanting to start an argument.

I think I was wearing Czech combat pants at the time.
