I had an older physics prof who had been in the (Lebanese?) military. He had put on a few pounds, but was still in great shape. He could do a perfect front split and would arm wrestle any student and win. Really engaging lecturer too.
These are the straddles. Splits go the other way. But yes, this is very impressive. Dude is probably a martial artist, or ex gymnast.
